Hello Music City District Club Presidents,
It is almost time for us to come together for our GFWC Music City District Fall Meeting! Attached is the Official Call for Saturday, October 24, 2026, at The Rising Church in Nashville. Please distribute the complete Call to all members of your club and encourage them to join us. Registration begins at 9:00 AM, with brunch and the Music City Marketplace opening at 9:15 AM.
Our theme, “Leading with Harmony, Serving with Heart,” is exactly what I hope this meeting represents. We will enjoy a wonderful brunch hosted by Stones River Woman’s Club, spend time getting to know more about the clubs and members that make up our district, hear district updates, and learn about initiatives and opportunities ahead.
Most importantly, I want everyone who attends to leave having learned something new, something they can take back to their club, use in their community, or apply to make their service even more meaningful.
A Few Important Reminders:
- Pre-Registration is due October 3. Registration cost is $25 per person, with one check submitted per club for all attendees.
- Bring your Change for Change! Start gathering those coins and dollars now. We are turning small change into a big impact!
- Come ready to serve. Together we will assemble 100 Bags of Hope for YAIpak to distribute throughout Middle Tennessee. Each club has an assigned contribution listed in the Call.
- Bring your Call packet with you. We will discuss the proposed Bylaws and Standing Rules revisions during the meeting, so members are encouraged to review them beforehand and have the packet available for reference.
Show Us Your Club’s Creativity:
I am looking forward to seeing the talent, personality, and creativity of each of our district clubs when you arrive with your decorated tabletop tree for our silent auction!
Each club is asked to bring one decorated tabletop tree, 18 inches to 3 feet tall, and the theme is completely up to you. The trees will be auctioned during the meeting, and three club prizes will be awarded based on originality and execution.
Have fun with it, get your members involved, and let your club’s personality shine! I have a feeling this is going to be one of the most fun parts of our meeting, and I cannot wait to see what each club creates.
Service, Learning & Fellowship:
We will also welcome Sherry Nicholson, Founder and Leader of YAIpak, who will share more about YAIpak’s mission and how the items we assemble during our service project will reach neighbors in need throughout Middle Tennessee.
I am looking forward to a morning filled with fellowship, learning, service, creativity, laughter, and a little shopping too! Please help me make this a true district gathering by sharing the attached Call with your members and encouraging them to attend.
